Katie is thrilled to be back in the rehearsal room working as the Associate Choreographer for Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Spotlight Education program. After the pandemic shut down all productions in March 2020 and cancelled all subsequent contracts, it feels better than ever to be back in the room doing what she loves with this year’s incredibly talented group of Triple Threat finalists.

Kindergarteners and first graders can join Katie online for Dance Disney at CTC! Themed classes will focus on learning the fundamentals of theatre dance with music that encourages resilience, perseverance, and positive thinking.

Katie has had a ball working at Children’s Theatre Company as the assistant choreographer, dance captain, and swing for Cinderella this holiday season. She’s had a blast wearing so many different hats (and costumes!) and playing with the cast, crew, and orchestra from both on and off the stage. Catch the show running now through January 5th!
Team L’Etoile du Nord will be hitting the Red Bull runway today showing off their skills and Katie’s choreography before taking flight over the Mississippi River! Head to Harriet Island to catch the fun or livestream here starting at 12 noon CT.

Katie is thrilled to be heading to Connecticut this summer as the Associate Choreographer for Matilda the Musical at NewArts. She is so excited to be working with this company; their mission, programming, and involvement with the community in Newtown go above and beyond to instill character strength, emotional agility, and confidence in all participants. Words cannot adequately express what it means to me to have been a part of developing and creating this show over the last 10 months. Working with Peter Brosius (artistic director and director of Matilda) and assisting Linda Talcott Lee (choreographer) at the Children’s Theatre Company, I have learned so much about how to stage a clear and thoughtful story. Katie had a blast teaching as a Guest Artist yesterday in the Guthrie Theater’s Intermediate Dance: Musical Theater Audition Prep series. Great energy from all of the dancers and a wonderfully supportive environment for all to learn and explore!
